INFLUENCER MARKETING. Trusted voices, properly disclosed.

A creator's audience trusts them, not you. The job is to choose creators whose trust fits the product, then never make them spend it on a claim that isn't true.

Story Design plans and manages influencer marketing campaigns for product brands from its studio in Noida (Delhi NCR), India. The studio shortlists influencers by category and audience fit, checks audiences for fake followers, handles onboarding, briefs and usage rights, makes sure every paid post carries an ASCI-compliant ad disclosure, and reports results using tracking links and creator codes.

How a campaign is put together.

A worked example of how we plan an influencer launch for a product brand. It shows our method; it is not a client result, and it is labelled as such.

Example 01 · Launch campaign plan (illustrative)

Six weeks, thirty trusted voices.

This worked example shows how Story Design plans an influencer launch for a product brand: creators chosen by audience fit across macro, micro and nano tiers, a brief built from the product's real features, ASCI-compliant disclosure on every post, and a unique tracking code for each creator so results can be reported, not guessed.

Illustrative plan · not a client result

Launching a BLDC ceiling fan with home and lifestyle creators.

How Story Design would structure a six-week launch campaign for a new energy-efficient ceiling fan. The numbers are planning ranges, not results.

Objective

Awareness and trust in the first six weeks after launch, with sales tracked by creator code.

Audience

Home-owners and renters aged 25 to 45 in metro and tier-2 cities, furnishing or upgrading a home.

Content

Unboxing and installation reels, a night-time “how quiet is it” demo, and a remote and app walkthrough.

Claims

Every energy-saving or noise claim checked against the product's test data before a script is approved.

Disclosure

#ad or #collab at the start of every caption, and an on-screen label in every video.

Tracking

A unique code and UTM link per creator; the best-performing posts boosted as partnership ads.

  • 8–10Micro creatorsHome, family and tech, for trust and detail.

Disclosure, done properly

Trust is the product. Don't spend it.

India's advertising self-regulator, ASCI, requires paid, gifted or sponsored influencer posts to be clearly labelled. We build disclosure into every brief and check every post before it goes live.

  • A clear label, upfront#ad, #collab, #sponsored or #partnership at the start of the caption, not buried in hashtags.
  • In the video itselfAn on-screen or spoken disclosure in reels and videos, not only in the description.
  • Claims backed by evidencePerformance, energy or health claims checked against the brand's own test data.
  • Honest opinionsCreators show the product as they found it; scripts guide, they don't put words in mouths.
  • Platform tools onPaid-partnership tags switched on where Instagram and YouTube offer them.
  • Records keptBriefs, approvals and final posts archived for every creator.
What we make

Influencer campaigns, defined.

The kinds of influencer work we plan and manage, and the paperwork that keeps them safe.

Launch seeding
Product sent to creators around launch day for unboxings and first impressions.
Review campaigns
Creators use the product for weeks, then give an honest verdict.
Festive campaigns
Creator content timed to Diwali, Eid, sales days and other moments.
Ambassador programmes
A few creators working with the brand for months, not one post.
Affiliate and code campaigns
Creators earn on sales through their own code or link.
Partnership ads
The best creator posts run as paid ads from the creator's handle.
Creator audits
Audience location, age, engagement quality and fake-follower checks.
Contracts and usage rights
Deliverables, dates, disclosure, exclusivity and how the brand may reuse content.
Reporting
Reach, engagement, clicks, code sales and cost per result, creator by creator.
How the work runs

  2. Audit audiencesFollowers checked for fake and inactive accounts before any offer.
  3. Onboard and briefContracts, usage rights, product delivery and a clear creative brief.
  4. DiscloseEvery paid post carries an ASCI-compliant ad disclosure.

Notes · quick answers

Influencer marketing, in brief.

The same answers appear in the Story Design FAQ.

01

Does Story Design manage influencer campaigns?

Yes. Story Design shortlists influencers by category and audience fit, checks audiences for fake followers, handles onboarding and briefs, makes sure paid posts carry ASCI-compliant ad disclosures, and reports results using tracking links.

02

What are ASCI's rules for influencer posts in India?

ASCI's guidelines for influencer advertising require paid, gifted or otherwise sponsored posts to carry an upfront, clearly visible disclosure label such as #ad, #collab, #sponsored or #partnership. In videos the disclosure must appear in the video itself, not only in the caption.

03

How do you choose influencers for a product launch?

Choose influencers by audience fit first: their followers' location, age and interests should match the buyer. Then check engagement quality and fake followers, and whether their past content suits the product category. Follower count comes last.

04

What are nano, micro and macro influencers?

Common industry tiers are nano influencers with under 10,000 followers, micro influencers with 10,000 to 100,000, macro influencers with 100,000 to 1 million, and mega influencers above 1 million. Definitions vary between agencies and platforms.

05

What is the difference between UGC and influencer marketing?

Influencer marketing pays for a creator's reach: the post goes out to their own followers. UGC pays for the content itself: the brand gets the video to use on its own channels, ads and product listings, whether or not the creator has a large following.
